The Guide That Always Travels With Us On The Blue Ridge Parkway

If there is one book that always travels with us on the dashboard as we drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, this is it. With it’s mile post directory and interesting tips, it’s what we reach for first.

418B72KXVYL._SL160_With a new cover and text design, this milepost guide highlights the many significant points of interest located on and nearby the Parkway, including Mount Mitchell, the highest point east of the Mississippi, Moses H. Cone Memorial Park, and Mabry Mill, one of the most photographed sites on the Parkway. Locations of overlooks, waterfalls, and tunnels as well as key entry/exit points along the Parkway are noted as well. Also included in the book is a brief history of the Parkway itself, a look at the surrounding geology and human history of the area, and an extensive wildflower bloom calendar.

  • I found your blog today and can relate to it. I first saw the Carolina mountains when I was 7 years old. Now I’m 38 and travel to them frequently, and every single day I dream about moving to them. A number of things have kept me in Florida, but I look forward to the day when I will make the dream a reality.
