The photo above is one of my favorites from the Valle Crucis area…I stumbled across it at the Valle Country Fair website a number of years ago and it graces my desktop every fall. The fair itself is still on my list of things to do in North Carolina…We just haven’t been able to make the calendars coincide so far in our life…They will, and we will someday.
If you are in the area at the right time though, spend the day at the fair…And let me know how you enjoyed it…
The Valle Country Fair is an overgrown church bazaar set in the center of one of the most picturesque valleys in the North Carolina mountains at the peak of the fall color season. All monies raised go to fund High Country organizations which serve people in need. Last year more than 10,000 people enjoyed:
Crafts, food, mountain music
- 135 juried fine art & crafts booths
- Freshly pressed apple cider
- Hot-out-of-the-kettle apple butter
- Homemade jams & jellies
- Brunswick stew, chili, barbecue
