Land Conservation Groups Protect NC Acreage

The Blue Ridge Conservancy and National Committee for the New River recently announced achievements in land conservation. The N.C. Clean Water Management Trust Fund provided funding for two local projects.

Another Blue Ridge Mountains Tract Protected

Another big chunk of North Carolina mountain property was recently protected from development.

An 8,000-acre tract that is the largest privately-owned wilderness in the southern Blue Ridge Mountains has been placed under contract to conservation groups for $33 million, they said today.
