IN NORTH CAROLINA, the road is closed at the following area

MP 399.7 (Bad Fork Valley Overlook) to MP 405 (NC 151) – Asheville Area.

Due to heavy rains, engineers have determined that a high risk of slides exists in the area, necessitating this emergency closure. The closure will be in place until early July.
